Here's how you can use your side burner

Sometimes all the fancy-schmancy extras on BBQs can seem overwhelming and, if you’re new to the grilling world, you may be lost when it comes to what to do with every part of your barbecue. You want to make the most out of your money, after all! One question that is constantly asked is ‘what do I do with my side burner?’ The answer is pure and simple- almost anything! Remember folks, anything you can whip up on a kitchen hob can be created outside on your side burner.

 

It’s in the name really; side burners can cook up a host of side dishes for your main meal, so here’s some suggestions of culinary concoctions to conjure up on that burner!

 

 

  1. Char those veggies!

Throw some colour onto your plate with some peppers, or other veggies of your choice, and give them that barbecue twist by placing them directly onto the burner and really draw those flavours out.

 

  1. Pan fry

As well as the hassle of travelling in and out of the house to the hob, pan frying dishes can fill your house up with smell and smoke. If only there was a solution… prepare meats and fish in a pan on the side burner and cook hassle free!

 

  1. Get Saucy

A great accompaniment to any dish is of course the sauces! Whilst your meat’s grilling, whip up a batch of your favourite sauce to drizzle over your main dish, and get those juices flowing.
