6 Crust-have Pizza Crust Ideas
We all know and love the cheesy, oozy goodness of stuffed crust pizza. Well, most of us! But it got our Fogo team thinking…what other crust creations can we concoct? With the new release of our Red Hellion Pizza Oven (check it out here), it’s the perfect time to explore the wonderful world of all things pizza.
- Sausage stuffing

Let’s start off simple. You may have heard of it- sausage stuffed crust. Whether it’s a fancy pork filling with herbs and spices or a good ol’ hot dog, you can’t deny it’s a great combination. We all need a good sausage stuffing from time to time!
- Bacon filled

Again, nothing crazy here. The time old duo of bacon and cheese stands the test of time…and pizza! Chop the bacon up, stuff it in with its dairy friend and dive in.
- Doritos crust

Now this is where things get interesting. Crumble up Doritos (any flavour of your choice, we’d choose cheese) and sprinkle it over the crust area of the pizza. Okay, so it isn’t STUFFED… but it certainly spices up the crust with crunchy, flavourful goodness.
- Marmite stuffed

Controversial! You either love it or you hate it…so how about in a pizza crust? Mixing the saltiness of the marmite with the creaminess of the cheese could be a new-found combo for your household! Try it out and let us know what you think.
- Cheeseburger crust

Now THIS is one we are interested in! Again, it may be up to discussion whether or not this counts as a stuffed crust…. but it sits in the crust, right? Placing mini beef burgers in little holders around the edge of your pizza and topping them with cheese sounds like the smartest creation since the telephone. Okay, maybe that was a little dramatic.

Double. Stuffed. Crust. Yep, you heard us right. With a crust stuffed on the outside, you can add ANOTHER ring of dough closer to the centre, with an added filling too. A great option for the crust lovers, or those who can’t decide which crust filling they want. Either way, it looks delicious.
